Finalmente salio al aire el capitulo en donde Ana y yo salimos! yo no hago nada.. es mas, no iba a salir desde un comienzo ya q era salsa.. y bueh.. no mi estilo hehe pero bueh.. a la final salgo con ella en la mesa... no puedo publicarlo aqui ya que lo eliminaron de la page.. pero es el capitulo 9 por VH1

Yei!! finalmente el 21 de septiembre a las 10pm saldra el capitulo 9 de "Brooke knows best" en VH1... no se lo pierdan!!! Ana aparece como guest y yo en el background.. realmente era para yo no salir ya que es algo de salsa y yo de bailar eso.. eh no hehe :)

Atlanta 2

Finally arriving in Miami!

During the 2nd day we went to the Historic Center of Rv. Martin Luther King Jr. AWESOME! A place you can't skip while in Atlanta. Is free to enter, donations are welcome! So keep it clean and take care of it during your visit. First, there was an expo about his life with pictures, videos, documents, objects and more. Although I think it was at the moment we went. Then, we walked to a firefighter department by the well known Auburn Av. where MLK was born and grew up. From there we went with a guide - who actually met the King family and march for equals human rights - to MLK's house.

The house is totally original! Of course, there are few things for security reasons that are update. 2 floors, 6 bedrooms, back yard and loads of history to hear. It was amazing to be there.

From there, we drove back to Florida. We slept in Orlando, went around the city and Kissimmee and around 7pm we were back in Miami!

Road trip: Atlanta...

My long day, Sat August 9th...

Waking up at 6am to drive from Miami to Atlanta! Around 7am we were on the road, and I couldn't drive as I do (80-85MPH :) yeah I drive fast) cuz a weekend ago I've got my 1st ticket, 15 mph over the limit (oops) and everytime I hit 75 my parents went mad. lol but I'm a good driver! I love to drive! :)

Half the way, already bored. It's all straight, keeping the same speed, trees, farms.... that's all I saw.

Around 8pm we arrived at Atlanta, Georgia! Yei! But we didn't make reservation whatsoever :) We took a look at 3 different hotels and decided to stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn (1501 Lake Hearn dr.) Of course, Hilton means GREAT service. Good price for a great place. Indoor pool, jacuzzi, bar, free Internet, parking lot and what I loved the most free cookies and coffee at the lobby lol
1st day we went to Down Town.

Our 1st visit in Down Town, the Aquarium. I think if you buy the ticket over the Internet, it's cheaper. And I think it's better to go by the afternoon since there are less people, specially if it's a Sunday as we went. The line was long that morning to get in! But it's a MUST see while in Atlanta. 

Then we walked to CNN. Every 30 minutes or so, there is a tour for an hour inside the CNN studios and you get to ride the longest and highest escalator that will take you up in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It was fun and you get to know more about the most famous news network in the world.

Close to CNN and the Aquarium, there's the Coke museum. We didn't get inside but it looks like fun.

Tomorrow we'll be going to the Martin Luther King Jr. center.

wooohoooo done with portfolio!! :) finalmente ayer entrege portfolio + web page + book.... estaba q me volvia loca. Fue entretenido!
Yo, estaba super tranquila, mas bien queria acabar con eso pronto! pero todo el mundo comenzaba a preguntarme "are you ok?" "no estas nerviosa?" y con tantas preguntas similares llegue al salon donde presentariamos y estaba sudando hasta por donde no se suda! hehe ok.. suena nasty. Pero d verdad, los nervios me agarraron. Por suerte no eran nervios de trancarme, quedarme en cero, si no nervios de tonterias, que por lo menos los hice reir hehe, ya que conocia a la mayoria de los del salon y siempre echaba broma con todos. Si hubiese sido prof q ni idea de quienes eran y alumnos que jamas habia visto (q habian unos cuantos) si me hubiese trancado. Ah que a demas, por lo menos cuando estaba en Preportafolio solo eramos en el salon los d pre, los que presentaban y 3 prof., esta vez eran un monton d estudiantes y mas profesores.
Pero bueh, era la hora de presentar, el primer nombre que llaman gracias a mi apellido (Castillo) era yo. Me pare diciendo "why me?" el prof dijo porque eres la primera, al menos que alguien se ofresca d voluntario" por supuesto nadie dijo nada! bueh... primera en salir d eso. Puse el DVD, dijeron que hablara algo d mi y yo oh Dios... que digo d mi...
Hola! soy Yosmar (sip, ese es mi nombre pa los q no sabian, no es solo Yoss), amo el cine y hacer videos. Me encanta todo, desde escribir, producir, dirigir incluso actuar! solo que a lo que me enfoco mas es Edicion y DP (direccion d fotografia) o trabajos con camara. Aqui esta mi demo. ME sente d un lado y todos vimos el video. Escuche unos 'nice' otros 'cool' asi que supongo que estaba bien. Al final aplaudieron (era normal, aplaudiamos con todos!) me dijeron que estaba bien, me preguntaron de nuevo que di DP era lo que mas queria hacer y yo sip. Luego presente la page, 'great job' me dijeron y done conmigo! no mas! toy libre! donde esta la vodka?

Rick Case Honda

Omg! It's been a whole month and still haven't pay for my new Honda Civic.
I went to Rick Case Honda in 2002 to buy a new car, I got it so fast, without any problem, the people was so nice, great place to make a good deal. 6 years later I want to change my car for another Honda of course, since I LOVE Honda as a car and Toyota as a SUV. Where to go? Rick Case Honda!
Everything was great at the begining. First I wanted to sell my Accord by myself so I can get enough money and give it as a downpayment. Around $5000-$6000 was the asking price for my 2002 Honda Accord. At Rick Case Honda didn't belive I could sell my car for that price, well I had a lot of offers and they actually checked over the Internet and saw the price (with milages and the year) was $5000. So I accepted to sell them my Accord for that price and get my new 2008 Honda Civic. Love my car, don't like anymore the people from Rick Case Honda! Why? Well, they told me I was approve so I can give them my car as downpayment and the amount I was thinking as monthly payment, that everything was perfect so I could take my new car with me. I just had to bring some stuff next day, so I did!
After a week they called me telling me I wasn't approved! What? You said before I was! So, you lied to me! and I had to pay $2000 more as downpayment? WHAT? That wasn't the deal! I took my new car because we both accept the deal! and now you are changing it?? Ok, give me my Accord back and take the Civic. Oh no, they don't want to do that! so we made a new deal!
Another 3 weeks, that's not the phone number of your office (They said). No that's my old cellphone that I was telling you all the time if you wanted to delete it and you said it doesn't matter (I said). We need 3 month bank statement from you (they asked) bla bla bla

I mean.. why do they give me a new car, after saying everything is great. After we both accepted the deal, we both signed it and now... after a month they want more money? Just cuz I'm a girl? just because they think I will give them more money and change the whole deal? a Deal is a deal! if we both accept something is because we both are ok with it! Now you want to change everything? the bank doesn't approve it?? Say: we need to call the bank to see if they approve the loan, if they do you come back in a week and drive your new car! Isn't that EASIER AND HONEST??? but nooo let's see how many people are going to give more money and change the first deal?

I woulnd't care or be this angry at them if they'd said something like that at the begining not changing their minds every week because they don't make the deals first with the people from the loan. If you say "everything is great" at the begining, don't come after me saying "oh no, it wasn't great! The people from the loan don't accept it, now give us more money!"

I'll get a Toyota next time...

portfolio... portfolio... portfolio... zzzz d verdad que estoy harta, deberia estar acomodando lo q me falta del portfolio, pero como la gran parte es digital, toma un poco mas de tiempo que lo normal. Que si acomodar los videos en mi page (www.yosscastillo.com) o el demo reel q hay partes q son HD y toma un poco mas d lo normal en actualizarce... 20mil detalles d todo
solo una semana mas! y luego busqueda d trabajo

Solo quiero mi titulo! Que tanto hay que hacer para graduarse de algo? Tengo como 20mil años estudiando college y solo quiero terminar clases, q me den mi titulo y trabajar en eso! Tengo que hacer una pagina web (y no es mi carrera hacer paginas), con mi info, resume, y mis trabajos (para chequearla es www.yosscastillo.com). Tengo que por supuesto juntar todos mis trabajos en un solo video, mi demo reel. Que es un proceso ya que tendria que buscar mis mejores trabajos, que enseñe lo que hago en edicion, direccion, produccion, guionista, efectos... todo en menos de 5 minutos. A parte colocarlo en un DVD y que este tenga su menu que pueda poner el demo reel mas cada uno d los videos por separados y completos. Que por supuesto, tengo que tener todos los derechos a los videos, no puede ser musica de U2 o cualquiera que no tenga derechos. Ahh y por supuesto, meter un link de mi pagina web en el DVD! Que ademas, como voy con la tecnologia, muchos de mis videos son grabados en HD, lo cual hace la edicion y exportacion mas lenta! Y no solo eso, si no un Book. Un libro en donde tenga un production package completo de alguna de mis producciones, la cual tiene que incluir: script, horario de produccion, equipo utilizado, permisos, story board, una sinopsis de lo que va el video, un budget de cuanto supuestamente gaste en el video, locaciones, talento. Y aparte como tambien me gusta eso de escribir, colocar varios de mis guiones, o por lo menos las primera 5 hojas. Y no puede faltar mi resume.
Aparte, para hacerlo mas bonito y profesional, crear algun logo como de mi compania o tener un tema que valla en la portada del 'book', en la portada del DVD, en el menu del DVD... osea tambien tendria que ser aparte de disenadora de paginas web, tengo que saber diseno grafico? bueh, la ayuda de photoshop a ver que me sale algo creativo que tenga que ver con Cinematografia digital y produccion de video!
blah... aprendo de todo y sin hacer nada aun! Alguien que me de un trabajo que tenga que ver con mi carrera por favor!
